Hypertension remains a major global health concern and a leading cause of cardiovascular diseases. Effective management through pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions is essential to reduce morbidity and mortality. This study aims to compare different marketed brands of Propranolol Hydrochloride tablets, evaluating their physical and dissolution characteristics and assessing their therapeutic efficacy. Two brands, Cipla and Abbott, were selected for comparison. Standardized quality control tests, including weight variation, friability, hardness, disintegration, and dissolution studies, were conducted to determine the release profiles and effectiveness of the drugs. The findings indicate significant variations between brands in terms of drug release rates, with Cipla demonstrating a higher dissolution rate compared to Abbott. The study underscores the importance of selecting appropriate pharmaceutical formulations to ensure optimal therapeutic benefits. Further research is needed to explore the long-term clinical outcomes of these variations on patient health.
