The proposed paper analysis, the design and implementation of a virtual telepresence robot, enabling a user to communicate in real time with an environment that is at a distance. This is achieved by the robot's equipment with a camera and microphone for audiovisual feedback to the user, where users can move the robot around and are able to get a live feed through a web interface. This paper aims to enhance the conditions of remote communication and interaction, enabling users to experience a better sense of immersion compared to the generic conception of video conferencing systems.
