Fertility rates in rural India have traditionally been higher than in urban areas due to socio-economic, cultural, and infrastructural factors. This study investigates the fertility rate in Ghatmunda village, Jashpur district, Chhattisgarh, by examining socio-economic conditions, cultural influences, and access to healthcare services. The study uses a mixed-methods approach, including surveys and interviews with residents and healthcare workers, to analyze fertility patterns and the factors influencing reproductive behavior. The findings highlight the impact of education, economic conditions, and cultural norms on fertility rates and suggest policy interventions to improve reproductive health outcomes.
