Wasif Bakhtiri is one of the poets known as contemporary literature of Afghanistan. He has a special place among the country's poets and everyone mentions him as a teacher. Ostad Bakhtri has written many poems in various ancient and contemporary poetry formats. He has a deep study of the literary and cultural past of the Persian language, having such interest and knowledge has caused his poems to be deeply connected to ancient literature in terms of content and use of ancient terms and words, and the spirit and color of nostalgia prevail in them. This article is organized using a qualitative-quantitative method based on formalist and structuralist opinions, with the aim of examining the old words - which are the prominent features of this poet's poetry - in the poetry collection "Safaline-e Chand on the Crystal Counter of Farda". The result is that the language of Western poetry is not simple, familiar and without rhyme; He gave his poems a special color and a prominent feature by defamiliarizing them, tending to ancient and old words and terms, this characteristic has made his poetry more readable. Bakhti has used ancient words in two ways: one is abandoned and unusable words. The second is the change in the structure of words, such as increasing and decreasing in the old style.
