​The influence of trends and challenges encountered the Junior high school student-athletes on their sports performance in Naga College Foundation, Inc., school year 2024 – 2025 was determined using descriptive – correlational methods of research. Findings revealed that the trends in sports were highly observed by the student-athletes as reflected in the result of the weighted mean. Moreover, the challenges along time management, academic pressure, injuries, and board and lodging were highly encountered by the student-athletes. In addition, the level of sports performance both for individual and team events was low. Trends and level of sports performance both for individual and team events showed no significant relationship; however, for challenges encountered, only board and lodging had significant relationship with the level of performance in team events only. Furthermore, along trends, wearable technology showed high extent of influence on the sports performance both in individual and team events. On the other hand, along challenges, injuries and board and lodging also had high extent of influence on sports performance in individual events, while injuries had very high extent of influence in team events. Finally, to improve the sports performance of student-athletes, strategic action plan was crafted..
