Title

“REVIEW OF LITERATURE ON ELECTORAL REFORMS IN INDIA”

Abstract

Review of literature is an important aspect of Doctorate of Philosophy (Ph.D.) thesis writing and Research Paper and Research Article writing. Review of literature identifies the research gap in the area of research, one has selected. It justifies the topic of research. It throws light on the past studies, undertaken in the area of research topic, one has selected for the study. Research has to be something new/novel/innovative, adding to the existing knowledge and it should contribute for the welfare and development of the society/community. Review of literature gives the right direction, while doing research. It gives valuable insights into the various studies undertaken. For a review of literature, one has to go through various books, journals, edited books, newspapers, magazines, various Ph.D. thesis on the research topic selected by the researcher, Government reports and publications, websites, corporate reports, etc. The research paper will be throwing light on the review of literature of various research papers / articles, on Electoral Reforms in India by the Election Commission of India (ECI), which is a Constitutional body, for the conduct of free, fair, impartial, transparent, smooth, efficient, effective and timely election giving an opportunity to every citizen of India of the eligible age, to cast their votes without fear, pressure, bribery and corruption, in every nook and corner of the country and to take part in the democratic process of conducting election.
