Abstract This study determined the effectiveness of teacher-made module on the reading level of Grade 9 students in English at Camarines Sur National High School for School Year 2024-2025. This was realized by looking into the: 1) status of the reading level of the Grade 9 students in terms of deficit, coping, emerging, and established; 2) the design of the teacher-made reading module in terms of objectives, content, activities, and assessments; 3. the curricular validity of the teacher-made reading module along face, content, and construct; 4) the reading level of the Grade 9 students along same aspects after the use of teacher-made reading module; 5) the significant relationship between the reading level of the Grade 9 students before and after using the teacher-made reading module; 6) the significant difference between the reading level of the Grade 9 students before and after the use of the teacher-made reading module; and 7) the effectiveness of the teacher-made reading module on the reading level of the Grade 9 students. The descriptive-comparative and research and development research designs were used in this study. Data were obtained through the reading pre-test and post-assessment test results of the 15 English Grade 9 students using the Rapid Literacy Assessment Tool (RLA). Data gathered were statistically treated through the frequency count, mean, proficiency level, standard deviation, and t-test. Conclusions drawn from the findings on the effectiveness of a teacher-made reading module on the reading level of the Grade 9 students are the following: 1) Most of the Grade 9 students are classified under the coping and deficit level in terms of words, phrases, and sentences during the conduct of the Rapid Literacy Assessment Pre-test; 2) The design of the teacher-made module is acceptable as validated in terms of words, phrases, and sentences; 3) The curricular validity of the teacher-made module is acceptable as valid in terms of words, phrases, and sentences; 4) The reading level of the Grade 9 students has significantly improved after the use of the teacher-made module; 5) There is a significant relationship between the reading level of the Grade 9 students before and after the use of the teacher-made reading module; 6) There is a significant difference between the reading level of the Grade 9 students before and after using the teacher-made module in reading; 7) The teacher-made reading module is highly effective in improving the reading level of the Grade 9 students.
