Prakriti means manifestation of special characteristics due to predominance of doshas (Vata, Pitta & Kapha, the functional components of body). According to Ayurveda Prakriti is nothing but the expression of one’s constitution. In short Prakriti means nature of individual. The pH is another term for H+ concentration that is generally used nowadays instead of hydrogen ion concentration. An increase in H+ ion concentration decreases the pH (acidosis) and a reduction in H+ concentration increases the pH (alkalosis). A pH test strip is a strip of litmus paper with which you can measure the pH value of a liquid. This study is done to find out if there is any changes in plasma pH according to Prakriti. Aim of this study is to study the relationship between Prakriti and Blood Plasma pH.
