Sustainable development goals shed light to the importance of development in all aspects of human life including education SDG16 emphasis on the need of access to justice and to promote peaceful and inclusive society there by creating accountable institutions at all levels. Justice can only be accessed by a well-informed society so it becomes inevitable to acquire proper awareness through legal education. The goal of legal education should be to develop lawyers who possess social vision and an ambition to be a thriving force for social change also aim to understand societal issues ,provide skills and knowledge necessary for addressing the issues in society. In this paper tries to analyze the role legal education in India for achieving justice for all marginalized people in India .this study tries to comprehend the current system of legal education in India. The research also focuses on the challenges faced in field of legal education in accessing justice by marginalized communities The study tries to suggest measures for making legal education more effective and thereby to achieve SDG16
