A case study of Tamaka Swasa/ Jeerna Vatika Kasa (Bronchial Asthma/ Byssinosis)
Abstract
Cough (Kasa) is the presentation of respiratory disease in the majority of patients. In general, air pollution, smoking and improper food habits are the triggering factors that enhance this disease. Many workers who work in industries like mining, textile, ceramic, construction and demolition, sand blasting, etc. have many respiratory problems, and byssinosis is one of them. A 65-year-old well diagnosed C/O Tamaka Shwas/ Byssinosis with recurrent coughing presentation with prominent bronco-vascular marking treated with Ayurvedic line of treatment of Pranavaha Strotodusti/ Tamaka Shwasa/ Jeerna Kasa and it reverted the X-ray findings normal.
