Digital overstimulation has significantly altered cognitive and social behaviors, leading to reduced attention spans and weakened face-to-face interactions. Constant exposure to fast-paced digital content results in increased distractions, difficulty in deep conversations, and a preference for online communication over real-world engagement. This study explores the negative impact of digital dependency on social skills, empathy, and emotional connections. Findings suggest that excessive screen time contributes to social anxiety and avoidance of in-person interactions. To counter these effects, promoting mindful digital use and encouraging real-world social engagement is essential. Future research should explore effective strategies for balancing digital consumption and improving attention and interpersonal relationships.
