The potential of a cashless economy is vast, as it can result in numerous advantages, including enhanced transparency, decreased expenses associated with printing and managing physical currency, diminished tax evasion, and heightened financial inclusivity. Additionally, it can result in enhanced efficiency and expedited transactions, hence stimulating economic expansion. Moreover, a cashless economy can effectively counteract corruption by facilitating the monitoring and tracing of financial activities. The primary objective of this research study was to ascertain the psychological disposition of individuals from different age cohorts on India's transition to a cashless society and to determine the country's readiness to embrace a cashless economy. In order to obtain replies on a Likert scale, a sample of 150 participants from diverse age groups residing in Udaipur city was examined. Data collection and analysis were conducted using SPSS Software. The analysis involved the application of the One Sample Wilcoxon Test. Data collection and analysis were conducted using SPSS Software.
