SOCIAL MATURITY OF HEARING IMPAIRED ADOLESCENT STUDENTS IN RELATION TO GNDER AND LOCALITY
Abstract
The paper projects Social Maturity of hearing impaired adolescent students in relation to gender and locality. The study consists a sample of 400(male-200 and female-200) hearing impaired adolescent students studying indifferent special schools and institutions located in Rayalaseema Region of Andhra Pradesh. Purposive and convenient sampling techniques were used to select sample for the present study. Dr. Nalini Rao’s social maturity scale was used to find out the social maturity levels of the hearing impaired adolescent students.The mean scores were calculated and compared with the standard scores given in the manual. The results reveals that the selected whole group of hearing impaired adolescent student had an average level of social maturity.
