Sentiment Analysis is a significant NLP task that focuses on identifying polarity (sentiment) and intention for an identifiable piece of textual data. The data might range from a single sentence to an entire manuscript. When they communicate as humans, it is much simpler to understand these feelings. However, it is difficult to recognize sentiments in machines. Sentiment analysis employs tools such as text analytics and other NLP technologies. Movie reviews are important in determining whether a movie is successful or unsuccessful. These evaluations will have a significant impact on an increased number of viewers. This article summarizes recent research that has used deep learning and machine learning to address issues with sentiment analysis, including sentiment polarity. Emotion detection, which accurately ascertains a person's emotional/mental state, is necessary since sentiment analysis falls short in some contexts. Levels of sentiment analysis, different emotion models, and the procedure for sentiment analysis and emotion identification from text are all covered in this review article. The study concludes by talking about the difficulties of sentiment and emotion analysis.
