Ensuring product quality is a critical management function that involves measuring quality characteristics, comparing them to predefined standards, and taking corrective actions when deviations occur. Every company must implement a robust operational system to detect and minimize defective products. Effective quality control is essential at every stage of production. This study aims to understand the quality control process. The Six Sigma methodology, specifically the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control) framework, is employed for data analysis. Case study of TATA-MOTOR help in understanding the value of incorporating six-sigma method to Statistical Quality Control.
