Title

Predicting renewable energy and demand in an integrated smart grid

Abstract

A methodology that accurately models a microgrid and predicts load demand and renewable energy is presented in the study. The scheduler forecasts and uses electricity spot prices to optimize the microgrid's daily cost. The conventional sources and energy storage are logically scheduled to satisfy the demand. The forecasting models shown here provide a great way to determine the right architecture to protect energy management, scheduling efficiency, and grid stability. Lastly, a greater understanding of how the smart grid system operates is made possible by the results.
