Title

Cellebrite Universal Forensic Extraction Device For Digital Evidence Analysis

Abstract

The Cellebrite Universal Forensic Extraction Device for Digital Evidence Analysis is a state-of-the-art product that caters to the fast-changing requirements of digital forensic investigation. This comprehensive platform enables the extraction, decoding, and analysis of data from an extensive range of digital devices such as smartphones, feature phones, tablets, GPS devices, drones, and removable storage media. Digital forensics is fast-developing science requiring investigators to constantly adapt to new technologies and data sources. This paper discusses the forensic extraction and analysis of data from Fitbit devices by comparing both iOS and Android platforms using tools like Cellebrite UFED, MSAB XRY, and Genymotion. The study looks into the recovery of some key user data including GPS locations, heart rate, sleep patterns, messages, and activity logs. Findings indicate that both platforms store similar Fitbit data, but Android allows access to authentication tokens and private messages, while iOS provides better visibility into community posts. These insights highlight the need for multiple forensic tools and strategies to maximize data recovery while maintaining evidentiary integrity in digital investigations.
