This study examines how trauma can manifest itself externally in a variety of ways, including psychological and physical aspects. Toni Morrison's Home and Han Kang's The Vegetarian both examine how trauma skews a person's identity and social connections. The texts also show the character's path to recovery or increased paranoia, as well as the contributing factors. The protagonists in both books are dealing with internal and external injuries that make it difficult to distinguish between psychological and physical issues. This examination looks at how these texts depict the connection between psychological and physical trauma in recovery tales.
