Title

AI in Education: Ethical Considerations and Challenges

Abstract

This paper examines ethical concerns surrounding AI in education, including data privacy, algorithmic bias, transparency, consent, and its impact on educators. It emphasizes the importance of protecting student data through compliance with laws like FERPA and GDPR. The paper also discusses the challenge of mitigating AI bias to ensure fairness, promotes transparency in AI decision-making, and stresses the need for informed consent and student autonomy. The impact of AI on educators, particularly job displacement, is also explored. Recommendations are provided for developing ethical guidelines and involving stakeholders to ensure a balanced approach prioritizing student welfare and equity.
