Title

Continuous power supply from dual battery system

Abstract

This project investigates the (EV) efficiency through a novel system a motor is mechanically connected to a generator, supported by a dual battery configuration. In this setup, one battery supplies power to the motor for vehicle propulsion, while the other battery stores energy generated by the coupled generator. This configuration aims to optimize energy utilization by continuously driving the vehicle with the motor simultaneously capturing and storing access energy through the generator. The stored energy can then be used to supplement the motor’s power supply, extending the driving range and improving overall efficiency. The concept is validated through detailed simulations, prototyping, and real-world testing. Demonstrating its potential to significantly advance the efficiency and sustainability of electric vehicles.
