Title

IOT AND BLOCK CHAIN BASED DISTRIBUTED AGRICULTURE SYSTEM TO ASSIST SMART FARMING AND TRACK AUTHENTICITY OF FOOD SOURCE

Abstract

The integration of IoT and blockchain technology in agriculture offers a transformative approach to smart farming and food traceability. This paper presents an IoT and blockchain-based distributed agriculture system that enhances precision farming while ensuring the authenticity of the food supply chain. The system employs IoT-enabled NPK sensors to monitor soil nutrient levels in real time, optimizing fertilizer usage and improving crop yield. These sensor data are stored on a decentralized blockchain ledger to ensure transparency, security, and tamper-proof record-keeping. Farmers, distributors, and consumers can access verified information about soil health, farming practices, and the journey of produce from farm to table. This approach not only increases agricultural efficiency but also fosters trust and sustainability in the food supply chain.
