IT security audits are now essential for ensuring an organization's integrity and resilience against an ever-increasing range of threats in the rapidly evolving field of corporate cybersecurity. This article examines how automated technologies can improve the effectiveness and precision of IT security audits in business settings. We discuss several automated solutions, including compliance management tools, vulnerability scanners, and continuous monitoring systems, emphasizing how they help to reduce human error and streamline audit procedures. By providing real-time insights and actionable analytics, we demonstrate through case studies and empirical data how automation accelerates the detection and remediation of security flaws, fostering a proactive security culture. The essay also discusses the obstacles and constraints businesses encounter when incorporating these technologies into their current frameworks, providing best practices for optimising their advantages. In conclusion, our results highlight the importance of automated tools as critical resources in the development of IT security audit procedures, putting businesses in a better position to protect their digital assets in a threatening environment that is becoming more complicated.
