Title

THERMODYNAMIC AND ACOUSTIC ANALYSIS OF BINARY LIQUID MIXTURE AT VARYING TEMPERATURES

Abstract

The ultrasonic velocity (u), mass density (ρ) and sheer viscosity (η) of the binary liquid mixture of toluene and 1,2 di chloro ethane have been determined using ultrasonic interferometer for a constant frequency 2 MHz at different temperatures viz 30OC, 35OC, 40OC. From these experimental data values, various acoustic and thermodynamic parameters namely isentropic compressibility (βs), intermolecular free length (Lf), molar volume (Vm), available volume (Va), Nissan’s parameter (d) and their excess values have been calculated. It is used in so many fields of scientific researches in physics, chemistry, biology medicines and industry. All these parameters and their excess values have been interpreted in terms of molecular interactions and their strength influenced by the size, shape and chemical nature of component molecules.
