The objective of the research paper was to find out the seasonal variation of zooplankton in Kaylana Lake. For this purpose, samples collected at Site 1 for two years (March 2022 to February 2024) were analyzed. In this process, the number of zooplankton was determined by taking samples every month. On quantitative study of the samples, it was found that rotifers were dominant in both the years (2022-23 and 2023-24). The study also found that their number was found to be highest in the summer season. The reason for which was the availability of optimum temperature and sufficient food available. 14 species of zooplankton were reported in Kaylana during the study period. Of which seven species of Rotifera, 04 of Copepoda and 03 species of Ostracoda were reported. On conducting a quantitative comparative study, it was found that the decreasing order of zooplankton in both the years was as follows – Rotifera > Copepoda > Ostracoda.
