Title

Optimizing Solar Thermal Collectors: Performance Analysis Using a Common Working Fluid in Waranga by Dr.Yakoob Kolipak

Abstract

Solar thermal collectors are essential for converting solar energy into heat for residential and industrial applications. This study evaluates the efficiency of Flat Plate Collectors (FPC), Evacuated Tube Collectors (ETC), and Concentrated Solar Collectors (CSC) in Warangal, India, using a common working fluid, water-based nanofluid, to standardize heat transfer across different collector types. Experimental readings recorded on April 16, 2024, validate efficiency variations, while optimization strategies, such as nanofluids, selective coatings, and AI-assisted tracking, enhance performance. Comparative global benchmarks further contextualize findings, confirming ETC’s stability, CSC’s superior heat conversion, and FPC’s cost-effective operation. The study concludes with recommendations for nanofluid integration, optimized tracking, and improved heat retention for sustainable energy applications.

Key Words

Solar thermal collectors, nanofluids, optimized heat transfer, tracking systems, Warangal climate, efficiency enhancement.
