Title

Women’s attending into higher Education: A Study of Madhesh Province in Nepal.

Abstract

Higher education is the higher level of education of people, acquired by the authorized higher educational institute. It has a crucial role in the overall development of any country. It is equally important for the women and men, specially, it plays an important role in the life of women. It promotes the financial constancy to the women also boost self-confidence of them and help them to became empower. Madhesh province is situated in the Terai region of Nepal with an area of 9,661 km2 covering about 6.5% of the country's total area. Higher educationally women’s of Madhesh province are lagging. The main purpose of this research study is to analyze “women’s attending into higher education of Madhesh province” and specific objectives are to brief analysis of the enrolment status into higher education of Nepal. The methods applied for this research is qualitative and followed data are secondary in nature. The result of this research shows that the total attending into higher education in Madhesh province of Nepal are 4,52,686 among them men are 3,05,333(67.44%) and women are 1,87,253 (41.36%), the result also shows that the men enrolment into higher education is 2,60,111 (44.88%) and women enrollment into higher education are 3,19,337 (55.11%) among the total 5,79,448 student’s enrolment in Nepal. Though, the obtained result shows that the women enrolment into higher education is higher in Nepal but women attending into higher education is lower than the men in Madhesh province of Nepal.
