A disease is a specific pathological condition that affects the structure or function of all or part of an organism without being caused by an external injury. Monitoring of health and detection of disease in humans is critical for the sustainable development of human resources. Currently, “Health GIS” is the most widely used and demanding area of web application for monitoring human health. The existing applications need some modifications for health monitoring and disease detection. The present review recognizes the need for developing a reliable health monitoring system that would facilitate/enhance human resources. It describes the currently used technology that can be used for developing a Health GIS and Web Application to assist in monitoring health and disease under human resources, that can be very beneficial during pandemics like COVID-19. This technology includes health GIS and Web applications based human disease detection programs. The paper compares the benefits and limitations of their potential in the health GIS and Web Applications.
