The rise of digital payments has made platforms like UPI (Unified Payments Interface) increasingly popular in India, but this growth has also led to a surge in fraudulent activities. "UPI Fraud Detection Using Blockchain" explores the potential of integrating blockchain technology to enhance the security and transparency of UPI transactions. Blockchain's immutable ledger and decentralized nature provide a reliable mechanism to track, verify, and secure transactions, thereby reducing the chances of fraud. This study investigates how blockchain can be applied to monitor UPI transactions in real time, ensuring data integrity and preventing unauthorized access. By recording all transaction data on a blockchain, it is possible to create a secure audit trail, making it easier to trace and verify fraudulent activities. The research also discusses the technical implementation, benefits, challenges, and potential scalability of integrating blockchain with UPI for fraud detection. This approach can potentially revolutionize digital payment security by providing an additional layer of trust and accountability, ultimately contributing to a safer and more reliable UPI ecosystem.
