Agriculture is the backbone of Rajasthan's economy, supporting a significant portion of its population. This study examines the trends in agricultural production and cropping patterns in Rajasthan, analyzing the economic factors influencing these changes. Using historical data, the study identifies shifts in crop selection, productivity levels, and the impact of climate variability, technological advancements, and policy interventions. The findings highlight the dominance of cereals like wheat and bajra, alongside cash crops such as mustard and cotton, shaped by water availability and market dynamics. Additionally, the role of government initiatives, irrigation facilities, and mechanization in improving agricultural sustainability is explored. The study concludes with insights into future agricultural prospects in Rajasthan, emphasizing the need for adaptive strategies to enhance productivity and economic resilience.
