Title

Experimental analysis of side and bottom loaded truncated conical type solar cooker with various vessel

Abstract

As an alternative to traditional methods, solar cookers use sunshine to cook food, which is more environmentally friendly. By focusing sunlight, they can provide enough heat to boil water, cook, or sanitize food, offering a sustainable means of reducing energy consumption and its negative environmental effects. The analysis of a truncated conical type solar cooker (TCSC) that loads food from the bottom and side is presented in this paper. The food or heated fluid was placed within a variety of cooking pots, and the temperature was recorded using a thermocouple indicated on temperature indicator. Thermic fluid (TCSC) is loaded into the cooking vessel (CV), with one on lugs and the other on the tray's floor, vessel with cavity and depressed lid, placing from the bottom and side of the cooker. There was 14.72% of improvement when the CV placed on lugs loaded from the bottom of the cooker. Cooker with bottom loading performs well compare to other type of cooker and placing central cylindrical vessel gives good result when placed into the all the cookers.
