Title

Communication in Black Spots Using Lora.

Abstract

This project presents the development of an embedded system designed to enable message transmission from network-restricted areas, commonly known as black spots, using LoRa and GSM technologies. Black spots are regions where conventional mobile network signals are unavailable, often encountered in remote locations or signal-blocked environments such as military zones or secure buildings. The proposed system employs two embedded modules: one placed in the black spot and the other in an area with network coverage. The black spot module uses Bluetooth to receive the message and transmits it via LoRa to the second module. The receiving module then forwards the message as an SMS through the GSM network. Operating at distinct frequencies—LoRa (2.4 GHz) and GSM (1800 MHz)—this system facilitates reliable communication in areas where traditional methods fail, offering a robust solution for security-sensitive and undercover operations.
