Abstract
Abstract: The integration of the Internet of Things (IoT) in manufacturing is revolutionizing the industry by enhancing efficiency, reducing operational costs, and enabling data-driven decision-making. IoT technology connects machinery, sensors, and cloud-based platforms, allowing real-time monitoring and predictive analytics. This paper explores the transformative impact of IoT in manufacturing, focusing on key benefits such as improved productivity, predictive maintenance, optimized supply chains, enhanced workplace safety, energy efficiency, and cost reduction. The concept of smart factories, where IoT works in conjunction with artificial intelligence and robotics, is also examined. Despite its numerous advantages, IoT implementation presents challenges such as high initial investment costs, cybersecurity concerns, legacy system integration, and workforce training requirements. However, with continuous advancements in artificial intelligence, 5G technology, and automation, IoT is set to drive the next phase of industrial innovation, making manufacturing smarter, more efficient, and more sustainable. Companies that embrace IoT will gain a competitive advantage, improving their adaptability and operational resilience in an increasingly digitalized world.
