Satisfaction Analysis of Free Solar Energy-Based Lighting in Rural Perambalur District This study assesses the satisfaction levels of rural households in Perambalur district, Tamil Nadu, India, with free solar energy-based lighting systems. The initiative aims to provide clean energy access to off-grid rural areas, reducing reliance on kerosene lamps and promoting sustainable development. A survey was conducted among beneficiaries to evaluate the effectiveness, reliability, and overall satisfaction with the solar lighting systems. The findings reveal that the majority of households reported improved lighting quality, reduced energy expenses, and enhanced safety. However, some challenges were identified, including maintenance issues and limited awareness about system upkeep. The study's results can inform policymakers and implementers about the impact of solar lighting initiatives and areas for improvement. ## Keywords Solar energy, rural lighting, satisfaction analysis, off-grid energy access, sustainable development.
