The primary objective of this study is to develop and evaluate polyherbal shampoo formulated using natural ingredients such as reetha , shikakai , rosemary , flaxseed , aloe vera , neem , amla , and rose oil . This formulation aims to provide an effective , safe , and eco - friendly alternative to conventional shampoos , which often contain synthetic chemicals leading to adverse effects such as hair fall , scalp irritation , and dandruff . Herbal ingredients have been traditionally known for their beneficial properties : reetha acts as a natural cleanser , shikakai enhances hair strength and shine , rosemary promotes scalp health , flaxseeds nourish the hair , aloe vera soothes irritation , neem combats dandruff , amla strengthens roots , and rose oil provides fragrance and hydration . The synergy of these botanicals not only cleanses bit also nourishes the scalp and hair , fostering healthier growth and improved texture . This study evaluated the physicochemical properties , efficacy , and safety of the formulated herbal shampoo . The goal is to provide a chemical - free hair care solution that minimizes side effects while ensuring smoothness , strength , and scalp health .
