Title

GRAPHENE: A REVIEW STUDY ON CONDUCTIVITY

Abstract

This review article examines the theoretical and experimental frameworks for understanding graphene’s electronic properties. Monolayer graphene exhibits linear dispersion, gapless Dirac cone is formed due to which electrons can move without any resistance. However, for bilayer graphene dispersion relation is parabolic and gives rise to a tunable band gap. Tunable conductivity can be adjusted through various external influences like electric fields, strain engineering, chemical doping and different layer stacking configurations. Further band gap can also be modified by considering the role of intralayer hopping as well as interlayer hopping in graphene.
