The medicinal benefits and low side effects of herbal formulations have drawn a lot of interest. Calendula officinalis, sometimes referred to as marigold, is used in the development and assessment of a herbal skin cream in this study. It is commonly recognised that calendula has anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, wound-healing, and skin-soothing qualities. The cream was prepared using an oil-in-water (O/W) emulsion base incorporating Calendula officinalis extract along with natural excipients like beeswax, and essential oils. The formulation was evaluated for pH, viscosity, spreadability, stability, and skin irritation potential to ensure its suitability for topical application. The outcomes showed that the herbal cream formulation was stable, had good consistency, and effectively hydrated the skin. There were no indications of irritation during testing, and the pH was determined to be within the skin-compatible range of 4.5 to 6.5. Calendula officinalis's antibacterial and antioxidant qualities were preserved, which made the cream advantageous for skin healing and protection. This research finds that a herbal cream based on calendula is a viable natural substitute for synthetic formulations, offering efficient skin protection and nourishment. More research may be done to improve its effectiveness and business possibilities.
