This study explores consumer awareness of food safety and evaluates how targeted educational interventions can influence behavior. Conducted using a pre-test/post-test quantitative design, the research involved 103 participants aged 18 to 50. Initial findings revealed a high level of concern about food safety but a lack of consistent practices such as checking expiry dates, reading food labels, and avoiding potentially harmful foods. After viewing an awareness video, participants demonstrated significantly improved habits—most began regularly examining food labels, avoiding artificial additives, and increasing their consumption of fruits and vegetables. These changes suggest that educational outreach can effectively bridge the gap between awareness and action, promoting safer food handling and consumption behaviors. Ultimately, the study underscores the importance of informed consumers in preventing foodborne illnesses and supporting public health.
