Title

Assessing the utilization of frozen foods among working people and homemakers

Abstract

This study investigates the utilization of frozen foods among working individuals and homemakers, with a focus on consumer behavior, perceptions, and usage patterns. Using a structured survey methodology, data were collected from 300 respondents to examine preferences, purchasing habits, health perceptions, misconceptions, and awareness levels regarding frozen food products. The analysis revealed a general preference for fresh foods; however, frozen foods were increasingly favored by working individuals due to their convenience, extended shelf life, and accessibility. Despite these benefits, significant concerns persist about the nutritional quality, preservative content, and sensory attributes of frozen foods. Misconceptions such as beliefs that frozen foods are inherently less nutritious, over-preserved, and unsafe were found to be widespread. Additionally, awareness of proper storage and thawing practices was limited. The study emphasizes the need for targeted consumer education, improved product quality, broader product diversity, and affordability to support the acceptance of frozen foods as part of a balanced diet in modern lifestyles.
