This study investigates the influence of tree sap on the strength characteristics of lime mortar, addressing the growing need for compatible materials in heritage structure restoration. The research examines how incorporating tree sap as an organic additive affects both fresh and hardened properties of lime mortar, with particular focus on compressive strength development, setting time, workability, and microstructural characteristics. Through comprehensive testing including XRD, SEM-EDS, FT-IR, and TGA analyses, this study demonstrates that tree sap significantly improves mechanical properties while maintaining breathability and compatibility with historic materials. The findings contribute valuable insights for conservation practitioners seeking sustainable and effective solutions for heritage structure preservation
