Abstract
Bird remedies in homeopathy constitute a rapidly expanding and distinctive group within the Materia Medica, each reflecting profound psychological and archetypal themes. This study systematically explores the core characteristics, mental-emotional patterns, and clinical indications of bird remedies, categorized into raptors, nocturnal birds, songbirds, water birds, flightless birds, and domesticated birds. Through thematic analysis, the study reveals that bird remedies often address issues of autonomy, vigilance, emotional expression, trauma adaptation, and identity conflict. Each group demonstrates unique patterns: raptors embody sovereignty and vigilance; nocturnal birds, intuition and ancestral trauma; songbirds, creativity and vulnerability; water birds, emotional fluidity and romantic idealism; flightless birds, groundedness and suppressed potential; and domesticated birds, obedience and repressed autonomy. By comparing these themes with those of other animal, plant, and mineral remedies, the thesis clarifies the unique place of avian remedies in homeopathic practice. Clinical insights and doctrine of signature analyses further illustrate how bird remedies can be effectively applied in cases of emotional suppression, identity struggles, and trauma. This work aims to provide practitioners with a deeper understanding and practical framework for recognizing and prescribing bird remedies in homeopathy.
