Title

INGENIOUS WEARABLE BRACE FOR ENHANCED BODY BALANCED SUPPORT

Abstract

According to the National Scoliosis Center, approximately 2% to 3% of the population are affected by scoliosis, a condition characterized by an abnormal curvature of the spine. Scoliosis can develop at any age but is most commonly diagnosed during adolescence. The Ingenious Wearable Brace for Optimized Body Balanced Support is an innovative assistive device designed to enhance scoliosis care in teenagers , yet conventional braces are often stiff, painful, and restrictive, leading to poor patient compliance. This smart brace integrates real-time posture monitoring, thermal therapy, and adaptive lumbar support to provide a more effective and comfortable treatment solution. An Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) sensor continuously tracks spinal alignment, while a microcontroller interprets the data, delivering real-time feedback to encourage correct posture habits. Unlike passive traditional braces, this device actively aids in posture correction, making treatment more dynamic and engaging. Integrated thermal pads provide localized heat therapy, reducing muscle stiffness and improving circulation for enhanced comfort and prolonged use. The microcontroller regulates heat intensity to ensure safe and effective pain relief. Designed for daily wear, the brace is lightweight, breathable, and ergonomic , balancing comfort with essential spinal support. A rechargeable battery system powers the sensors and thermal therapy, ensuring long-term usability. By combining smart monitoring, active postural correction, heat therapy, and an ergonomic design, this brace offers a holistic, non-invasive, and user-friendly solution, improving compliance, mobility, and overall spinal health in adolescent scoliosis patients.
