Title

A Pedagogical Approach towards Brain Computer Interfaces using React Framework

Abstract

This paper focuses on a pedagogical approach to provide a platform for demonstrating Brain Computer Interfaces (BCI). Users will be able to illustrate the conceptual and practical use of BCI using the web platform. BCI is used as a term in which there is a direct interaction between the human brain with an external entity eliminating the need of traditional input sources. The website aims to provide a user-friendly approach towards BCI by having features like mini-games to lure youth along with the advance data analytics features like sentiment analysis and facial analysis. The web platform will utilise electroencephalograph (EEG) data from a headset namely Emotiv Insight. The data procured is streamed to the website in real-time through websockets. Sentiment analysis will process the EEG data from the brain to determine the emotional state of the brain. Facial Expression tab aim to process the neural activity to tell the facial expression made in real time. Finally, the mini-game section includes the game ping-pong which will be controlled using brain in the website to demonstrate the gaming perspective of BCI.
