Title

Microcontroller-Based Ultrasonic Distance Monitoring for Enhanced Farm Automation

Abstract

Due to moving to new farming methods, there is a need for automated equipment that is not expensive and simple for anyone to use. The project was centered on building a device that uses the atmega32 microcontroller to measure distance with the hc-sr04 ultrasonic sensor so that farmers can easily monitor hazards and water level. It has an hc-sr04 ultrasonic distance sensor that measures the distance and puts the information on a 16x2 LCD. Farmers have the option to change the LCD display’s contrast with a potentiometer, making it usable under various lighting circumstances. The device runs on either a 5v regulated power supply/output or a 9v battery and is very light, making it portable and easy to put together. When used for agricultural testing, the device proved to be both precise and practicable, thus it is suitable for use on farms. This tool makes it possible for small and medium-sized farmers to use smart farm technology at a low cost, which may improve output and save labour with simple and reliable devices.
