Title

Design and Control of Collaborative Robots For Smart Factories Under Industry 5.0 Paradigm

Abstract

The transition to Industry 5.0 marks a new era of smart manufacturing, emphasizing human-centric, sustainable, and resilient production systems. Collaborative robots (robots) are pivotal to this transformation, enabling seamless interaction between humans and machines in intelligent factory environments. This paper presents a comprehensive review and a novel design framework for collaborative robot systems tailored for Industry 5.0. We explore advanced control strategies, sensor integration, human-robot interaction (HRI) models, and safety protocols. A prototype implementation is discussed, highlighting real-time adaptability, machine learning-based decision-making, and ergonomic design. The study also evaluates performance in terms of efficiency, safety, and worker satisfaction.
