The fusion of traditional and modern architecture is an evolving approach that integrates historical building techniques with contemporary innovations to create sustainable, culturally rich, and functionally efficient spaces. This study explores the advantages of such integration, including energy efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and environmental sustainability. Traditional architecture offers passive design strategies such as natural ventilation, thermal massing, and the use of locally available materials, while modern advancements introduce smart technologies, adaptive reuse, and hybrid construction methods. Despite its benefits, the fusion approach faces challenges such as regulatory constraints, skill gaps in traditional craftsmanship, and financial feasibility. However, by addressing these barriers, architects can create spaces that honor cultural heritage while meeting present and future urban needs. Through case studies of vernacular-modern hybrid projects, this research highlights the impact of fusion architecture on contemporary practice, demonstrating its role in sustainable development, heritage conservation, and the redefinition of architectural identity in modern cities. The study concludes that a balanced integration of past and present architectural wisdom can lead to resilient, adaptive, and contextually meaningful built environments.
