Title

A STUDY ON IMPACT OF ORGANIZATION CULTURE ON CITIZENSHIP BEHAVIOR OF EMPLOYEES

Abstract

In the dynamic and complex environment of modern organizations, employees’ willingness to go beyond formal job responsibilities referred to as Organizational Citizenship Behavior plays a crucial role in enhancing organizational effectiveness. This study explores the relationship between organizational culture and OCB among employees. It examines how leadership style, communication patterns, social norms, employee well-being, and job-related factors influence discretionary behaviors like helping colleagues, showing initiative, and participating in organizational life. Using a descriptive research design and data collected from 108 respondents through structured questionnaires, the study employs non-parametric tests such as Chi-square, U-test, H-test, and correlation analysis. Findings indicate that communication style, leadership behavior, and recognition significantly impact OCB, while gaps in well-being support and teamwork encouragement remain areas for improvement. The study concludes that a strong, positive organizational culture fosters higher levels of OCB and recommends targeted interventions to build a supportive, inclusive, and motivating work environment.
