Title

TEACHER EFFECTIVENESS AMONG HIGHER SECONDARY SCHOOL TEACHERS IN AND AROUND PONDICHERRY DISTRICT

Abstract

This study investigates the Teacher Effectiveness of higher secondary school teachers in and around Pondicherry district. The sample consists of 622 higher secondary school teachers in various schools. The main objective of the present study is the level of teacher effectiveness of teachers is low. The investigator has used the Descriptive Survey method for the study. "Teaching effectiveness" scale constructed by the Calaguas, Glenn M (2012). In this study it has been found that the teacher effectiveness is high. To analyze the results, statistical techniques such as Mean, SD, and t-test were used. The result showed that there is no significant difference between female and male school teachers teaching at higher secondary level.
