Peter Chelsom is a British film director, writer and actor. He has directed such films as Hector and the Search for Happiness, Serendipity and Shall we Dance? and The Mighty was his third feature, which is a beautiful and touching film that will steal our heart. The movie deals with an uncommon friendship, a mythical quest and an extraordinary triumph. The movie was based on the best selling book Freak the Mighty by Rodman Philbrick, an American writer of novels for adults and children. The story is both riveting and poignant, with solid characters, brisk pacing and even a little humour to carry us along.
