UNDERSTANDING VITILIGO AND ITS HOMEOPATHIC MANAGEMENT
Abstract
Vitiligo is a skin depigmentation disease estimated to occur in 0.52% of the world’s population. The disease is caused by the selective loss of melanocytes, resulting in a characteristic, non-scaly, chalky macule (1). The exact pathogenesis of vitiligo remains elusive and is like multifactorial. The aim of this review of literature is to understand the epidemiology of vitiligo and its pathogenesis and how knowledge of homeopathic repertory and principles of organon will help in understanding homeopathic management of vitiligo.
