The present study focuses on the formulation and evaluation of a herbal toothpaste Using Pomegranate Peel Powder designed as a natural alternative to chemical-based dental care products. This formulation aims to clean and maintain oral hygiene using natural, plant-based ingredients, rather than synthetic. Herbal toothpaste is a natural oral care product formulated using plant-based ingredients known for their medicinal and therapeutic properties. Unlike conventional toothpastes that often contain synthetic chemicals, herbal toothpaste incorporates extracts from herbs such as turmeric, clove, mint, pomegranate peel powder, licorice and saunth, which possess antibacterial, antifungal, anti-inflammatory, and analgesic effects. These natural components work synergistically to promote oral hygiene by reducing plaque buildup, preventing dental caries, soothing gum inflammation, combating bad breath, and maintaining overall oral health. In addition, herbal toothpaste is often free from fluoride, artificial sweeteners, and harsh abrasives, making it a safer alternative for individuals with sensitive teeth or allergies to chemical additives. With the rising demand for eco-friendly and holistic healthcare products, herbal toothpaste has gained popularity among consumers seeking natural and sustainable oral care solutions. Ongoing research continues to support the efficacy of herbal ingredients, offering potential benefits in preventing common dental problems and enhancing oral wellness without adverse side effects.
